So, here I am. Finally here starting my dream. Big Ball Sports. We’ll see if that name lasts. But finally going ahead and starting a blog. I’ll be completely honest, I have no idea what the fuck I’m doing here. I just want to get this going and see if anything works. So me, Alex Rodriguez, just a dumbass college student that wants to start something bigger than anything he’s ever gone for before. A little bit about me, I’m from a suburb of Chicago. I’ve been to 3 colleges now. University of Iowa, College of DuPage, and now Bowling Green State. Im currently a transfer student with no friends yet and nothing to do. So I said, fuck it, lets be legends, and I started this blog. Real talk though I have been a sports manic my whole life, playing and watching. My playing days are obviously over even though I could beat anyone that reads this 21-17 hitting 4 jumpers in your face. Shout out Loud Sean at Barstool Sports. Another reason why I’m starting this. Ever since I found what Barstool was and what they were all about I was super invested. I wanted to join them or be like them one day. As stupid as it sounds, Dave Portnoy, Dan Katz, Kevin Clancy and so many more there have been an inspiration. I want to be like them for better or worse. Currently writing this they just sold 36% of their company to Penn National Gaming for 450 million fucking dollars. I remember watching Skype rundowns and to see how far they got just being their true selves really drove and inspired me to start something myself. So fuck it, here I am writing this intro to myself already semi off track. I didn’t lie when I told you I really had no idea what I was doing here. But I’ve always dreamed of having my own company or business similar to Dave Portnoy. Ive always been interested and wanted to have that for some reason. Then adding the sports aspect. It’s a dream come true. But the one thing that has always stopped me from even attempting something like this is just because of the realism and actual opportunity available. Is there really going to be people that read this and want more? Is there any reason to put any effort into this? You know no one is going to read this Alex? Regardless, if anyone reads this, I don’t care. I just want to try. There is no harm. I’m sick of people saying “oh you’re going into too competitive of a field” and shit like that. It’s time to take matters into my own hands. So whatever happens here, just know well have fun. I hope whoever has made it this far wants to come back for more. I just want everyone to know I am who you see and read on here. No fake shit or anything. Authentic. Enough of that, I’m currently on my 3rd beer so I gotta get going.
